Previcox
Previcox is suitable for relieving pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. It is also used to relieve postoperative pain and inflammation associated with soft tissue, orthopedic, and dental surgery in dogs.
How Previcox Works
Previcox contains the active ingredient firocoxib. Firocoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces inflammation and relieves pain in dogs.
Previcox Dosage
Previcox is available in chewable tablets of 57 mg and 227 mg.
The tablets can be given with or without food. They can be divided into two or four equal parts to ensure accurate dosing. Administer 5 mg/kg body weight once daily, following the schedule below:

Medication and Supplements in Addition to Previcox
Previcox is often used in dogs with arthritis. Arthritis is an unpleasant and chronic joint disease. Alongside Previcox, other medications and supplements are often recommended, and you may receive exercise and dietary advice for your dog.
Pain Relief
Dogs with arthritis benefit greatly from painkillers. Reduced pain allows them to move more, keeping their joints more flexible. Painkillers like Previcox also reduce joint inflammation, slowing the progression of arthritis. Some dogs receive painkillers daily, while others only during pain or inflammation flare-ups. Previcox is an NSAID. Never combine two types of NSAIDs. However, your vet may combine painkillers with a different mechanism of action with Previcox.
A Healthy Weight

Diet and Supplements
