Drontal for dogs
Drontal (Large) Dog Tasty deworming tablets are effective against roundworms, tapeworms (including the flea tapeworm and the fox tapeworm), hookworms, and whipworms in dogs.
Administration
A single administration is sufficient per treatment.
The palatable bone-shaped tablets can be administered in one of the following ways:
- Administer directly onto the back of the tongue and allow swallowing
- Crush and mix with food
- Administer in a meatball

Drontal Large Dog Tasty | 1 tablet per 35 kg body weight |
Drontal Dog Tasty should not be administered to dogs weighing less than 2 kg. Drontal Large Dog Tasty should not be administered to dogs weighing less than 10 kg.
Use of Drontal Dog Tasty during the first and second trimester of pregnancy is not recommended. Use of Drontal Large Dog Tasty during the first half of pregnancy is not recommended.
How often should dogs be wormed?
The ESCCAP (European Scientific Counsel Companion Animal Parasites) recommends deworming adult dogs an average of 4 times a year. Puppies should be wormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age, then every month until they are six months old.
