Milbactor dog
Milbactor deworming tablets for dogs are suitable for the prevention of heartworm and for the treatment of mixed infections caused by roundworms, hookworms, lungworms, and tapeworms. Additionally, Milbactor is also effective against eyeworm (Thelazia callipaeda).
Active Ingredients
Milbactor contains the active ingredients Milbemycin oxime and Praziquantel. Milbemycin oxime is effective against roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and can also be used for the prevention of heartworm. Praziquantel is effective against tapeworms, including the fox tapeworm.
Administration
Milbactor tablets should only be administered orally, either concurrently with or after eating. It is recommended to deworm your dog at least 4 times a year, approximately every 3 months.
Dosage
The practical dosage depends on the dog's body weight:
One 2.5 mg/25 mg Milbactor tablet for small dogs and puppies (weighing at least 0.5 kg) contains:
Milbemycin oxime 2.5 mg
Praziquantel 25 mg
One 12.5 mg/125 mg Milbactor tablet for large dogs (weighing at least 5 kg) contains:
Milbemycin oxime 12.5 mg
Praziquantel 125 mg

How often should dogs be wormed?
The ESCCAP (European Scientific Counsel Companion Animal Parasites) recommends deworming adult dogs an average of 4 times a year. Puppies should be wormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age, then every month until they are six months old.
