Milbenin worm tablets dog
Milbenin is an anthelmintic for dogs for the treatment of mixed infections with adult cestodes and nematodes sensitive to Praziquantel and Milbemycin oxime. Milbenin can also be used to prevent heartworm disease if concomitant treatment against cestodes is needed.
Active substances
Milbenin contains the active substances Milbemycin oxime and Praziquantel. These active substances are also found, for example, in Milpro dog, Milprazon dog, Milbemax dog and Milbactor dog.
One chewable tablet of Milbenin for small dogs and puppies contains:
Milbemycin oxime 2.5 mg
Praziquantel 25 mg
One chewable tablet of Milbenin for large dogs contains:
Milbemycin oxime 12.5 mg
Praziquantel 125 mg
Administration
The chewable tablets should be administered orally, with or after some food.

Packaging
Milbenin chewable tablets are available for small dogs and puppies (suitable for dogs weighing 1-5 kg and/or older than 2 weeks) and for large dogs (suitable for dogs weighing >5 kg).
How often should dogs be wormed?
The ESCCAP (European Scientific Counsel Companion Animal Parasites) recommends deworming adult dogs an average of 4 times a year. Puppies should be wormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age, then every month until they are six months old.
