Symptoms:
The following symptoms can be caused by the fire hairs of the processionary caterpillar: skin complaints such as itching, bumps or blisters, red skin and spots and a burning pain/irritation. 1.    Try to remove the stinging hairs from your skin, use adhesive or tape.
2.    Rinse the spots on the skin thoroughly with lukewarm water. You could also do this as a precaution if you have been in an area with oak trees.
3.    Wash the clothes at least at 60 degrees
4.    Try not to scratch or rub when it itches. This will prevent the spread of the stinging hairs
5.    Lubricate the processierupsgel to care for and soften red and irritated skin. Repeat if desired
6.    Always consult your general practitioner in case of serious complaints, swelling and/or shortness of breath.
