Allerderm Spot-On
Allerderm Spot-On from Virbac is an easy to use topical (directly applied to the skin) application that supports the skin barrier repair in dogs and cats. It is a skin-lipid-complex that corresponds to the composition and structure to that of lipids in the skin barrier of the dog. Allerderm Spot-On is used by the skin cells to create new lipid-layers. Thanks to this technique, Allerderm Spot-On helps restore lipid-layers of the epidermis, which together with the outer layer of skin cells form the skin barrier.
The skin consists of several layers, between the skin cells is a substance consisting of ceramides, cholesterol and acids, better known as skin-lipid-complex. An intact skin is important for:
- Protection against external influences
- Protection against pathogens
- Prevention of fluid loss
Allerderm Spot-On is available in the following types:
- Allerderm Spot-On 6 x 2ml
- Allerderm Spot-On 6 x 4ml (dogs >10kg)
Administration:
In the case of skin problems, use 1 pipette per week for 4 weeks, to be applied to the skin between the neck and the tail base.
In severe skin problems in cats or dogs, Allerderm Spot On can be applied directly to damaged skin and massaged in if necessary, e.g. between the toes, on the chest, in armpits and groin.
It may be necessary to temporarily increase dosage to 2-3 pipettes per week. 1 pipette per month can be used as a maintenance dose.

6 x 4 ml for small dogs over 10 kg
