Sileo 0.1 mg/ml gel | 3 ml
Sileo gel is a medication used in dogs to combat acute stress caused by noise, such as fireworks anxiety. The active ingredient is dexmedetomidine, a substance used in higher doses for sedation and anaesthesia. In the much lower dosage of Sileo, it will only reduce the fear and excitement caused by acutely stressful situations.
It is a gel to be applied with a syringe to the mucous membrane of the cheek pouch at the back of the mouth. The quantity to be administered depends on the weight, and can be adjusted on the syringe so that an overdose is not possible.
The effect can be observed from 15 minutes to one hour after administration. The administration may be repeated every 2 to 3 hours and a maximum of 5 times in a row. Sileo can be kept for 48 hours after opening. We recommend that you read the package leaflet carefully before use.
