Sectolin Tedax insect spray 400 ml
Sectolin Tedax insect spray is a repellent against insects. Permitted is exclusively the use as repellent for:
- (Tropical) mosquitoes and stinging flies in humans (riders);
- Mosquitoes, flies (including stable flies) in horses, not intended for consumption;
- Mosquitoes and ticks in dogs.
Composition:
Active substance: Saltidin® (Icaridin) 20% (200 g/kg) (CAS 119515-38-7).
Contains: Ethanol (CAS 64-17-5), Propan-2-ol (CAS 67-63-0).

Instructions for use general:
Hold the aerosol 10 to 15 cm from the skin during spraying while keeping the nozzle away from your face. Treat the skin with a slow waving motion. Apply to the head by first spraying a small amount into your palms and then spread over the head and neck. Protection starts immediately after application. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Due to health risks, apply the remedy to humans, horses and dogs no more than once a day.
Note that factors such as temperature, humidity and sweating may affect the effect.
Horses: Use Tedax® on horses that will come into contact with mosquitoes or flies (including stable flies), for example before an outdoor ride, a competition or grazing. For a 450 kg horse, apply 200 g of Tedax® at a time by spraying it evenly onto the body surface for at least 2 minutes. Tedax® protects horses for 24 hours against flies (including stable flies) and mosquitoes (based on 90% protection).
People: Use Tedax® just before contact with (tropical) mosquitoes or stinging flies is expected, e.g. before an outdoor ride or competition. Apply Tedax® evenly to uncovered parts of the body. Avoid spraying on eyes and mouth. Treatment of the face and neck: spray a small amount on the palm of the hand and spread it over the skin. Tedax® protects people 6 hours against (tropical) mosquitoes and 4 hours against stinging flies (based on 100% protection).
Dogs: Use Tedax® on dogs that will come into contact with mosquitoes or ticks, e.g. for walking, hunting, dog running or outdoor exhibitions. For a 40 kg dog, apply 11 g of Tedax® by spraying it evenly onto the body surface for at least 7 seconds. Tedax® protects dogs for 8 hours against mosquitoes and 4 hours against ticks (based on 90% protection).
Warning:
Do not use on children under 3 years of age;
When applied to horses, only apply the product before riding;
Apply to horses or dogs only indoors (in ventilated area) or outdoors over a paved surface. This is to prevent soil contamination;
Rinsing of horses and dogs treated with this product may only be done in indoor washing areas or at least over paved surfaces. This is to prevent soil contamination.
